When Reality Bleeds - Monster concepts

Some of the monsters featured in the script for the first chapter of When Reality Bleeds. None of them cover much of a big role, and were planned to appear only for a few panels, other than the mournful, which had a bit more of lore to it. The Heralds were also supposedly recurrent, but didn't have much relevance individually.

The Crimson Stag. A ravenous creature driven by pure hunger, trying to satisfy an appetite that never quite ends, given the fact most food falls out of the body shortly after it's consumed.

The Herald - Lower view. The heralds are the first creatures to appear before a portal is open. They aren't hostile, but absorb the magic out of corpses through the eye-like part in the belly. They float in antinaturally.

The Mournful. The biggest of the eldritch entities to get spit from the portal. It's crying is copied from the civilians it can see. And however, while it does so accidentally, it's still massively destructive. Sometimes, it seems to give a try at speech.

Proboscis. It has a tongue-like texture all across the body and it's uncomfortably moist. It uses the flesh of whatever it consumes to grow, or heal wounds.
